How gold per kill is worked out

Gold per kill adds up every item the NPC drops: its drop chance, times the average stack, times the item's latest Auction House low or what a vendor pays, whichever is higher. The list is ordered by that figure scaled by spawn points, so a mob with fewer than 10 spawn points counts for less, and rare, elite and dungeon NPCs or those with fewer than 3 spawn points are left out.

Auction House prices are limited before launch: an item counts at its AH price only after 3 fair scans over 2 days with at least 5 listed, and the scan count is in each icon's hover text. No kill of these NPCs is recorded in Forever yet, so every drop chance here is the vanilla 1.12 one. Coin drops are not recorded, so the figure counts items only. See also the Auction House and where to farm an item.
