ZugZugDB runs with no ads, no tracking and no paywall. It costs money anyway. If the site saved you a trip to a vendor across the continent, a tip is welcome; if not, read on and enjoy the site all the same.
What a tip pays for
- The server. Pages are rendered on the fly from the database so that the data you see is the data of the current build, not of a cached page.
- The domain and the certificate under it.
- The data pipeline. Every time Blizzard pushes a build, the pipeline reads the new game files, works out what changed, and loads it. That is where most of the cost and all of the work goes.
Nothing else. There is no staff to pay and no one is getting rich; a few tips a month cover the bills.
Opens the tip page in a new tab. No account on this site is needed, and a tip buys nothing here: no badge, no priority, no ad-free version, because there are no ads.
